The El Paso County District Attorney Case Portal (DA Portal) System is the second generation of a paperless electronic case management and discovery system developed by the El County Information Technology Department. Main programming of the system began in 2016 and was completed in 2017. The DA Portal allows El Paso County District Attorney Staff to intake cases created through arrest and detention of individuals, as well as non-arrest cases. It allows DA staff attorneys to screen cases for viability, and to move case information into a paperless space shared with defense attorneys to provide discovery documents and evidence, and to negotiate plea agreements or prepare for trial.
