About the Symposium

Join us at NACo’s Gulf States Counties and Parishes Caucus (GSCPC) Symposium, where county and parish leaders will engage in dynamic mobile workshops and collaborative sessions. This symposium offers a unique platform to explore innovative solutions to critical challenges facing local governments, including disaster resilience, energy production and other pressing issues. Connect with peers, share insights and work together to strengthen the future of our Gulf States communities.

Attendees arrive

Programming begins

For those planning to fly, all flights should be booked to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.
- We will have buses to take folks from the airport to the hotel. If you would prefer to rent a car and/or take ride app (Uber/Lyft/taxi), those options are also available!
- The airport is approximately 30 minutes from the hotel.

Friday, March 28

Programming all day

9:30 a.m.	Buses depart Hampton Inn & Suites for Nicholls State University Tour and presentation of Nicholls State University Coastal Center
12:00 p.m.	Lunch @ Nicholls State University
1:00 p.m.	Buses depart for Port Fourchon
2:30 p.m.	Tour of Port Fourchon
5:30 p.m.	Dinner @ Port Fourchon
7:30 p.m.	Buses depart for Hampton Inn & Suites

Saturday, March 29

Programming concludes at 2:00 p.m. CDT

Optional: Attendees depart

9:30 a.m.

Buses depart Hampton Inn & Suites for Nicolls State University

Presentations and group discussion on federal/state policies impacting the Gulf, including:
- National Flood Insurance Program
- RESTORE Act
- Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority

12:00 p.m.

Lunch @ Nicholls State University

1:00 p.m.

Adjourn

Buses will be available to return folks to the airport

For those interested in staying the night of the 29th, NACo’s hotel block is extended through Sunday, March 30. NO PROGRAMMING WILL TAKE PLACE ON SUNDAY, MARCH 30.
