The Live Scan Collaboration for In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Providers program began in 2019 to provide a service to applicants interested in becoming a provider for the IHSS program. San Bernardino County’s IHSS Public Authority (PA) and Human Services (HS) Personnel collaborated to offer Live Scan services to applicant providers, which is a required step to enroll as an IHSS provider. HS Personnel offers the Live Scan service for a low cost of $32 and provides optimum customer service for IHSS providers. This results in an accessible, streamlined service for providers, allowing them to complete the enrollment process smoothly and quickly and begin providing much needed care to their IHSS recipients.
