“Art for the People: Empowering Our Community” is an Exhibitions and Programming initiative of the Miami-Dade Public Library System (MDPLS) that brings free art displays and related programming using the library’s Permanent Art Collection to inform and inspire the surrounding communities of Miami-Dade County. Our desires to expose the immediate library visiting populations to a curated art gallery experience is of grand importance because we assist in providing one of a kind works of fine art that documents Miami’s cultural change, giving our patrons a unique library visiting experience.
