About

Tyson Bertone-Riggs has a diverse background in forest policy and conservation work, having served as the coalition director and policy manager for the Rural Voices for Conservation Coalition where he was responsible for coalition strategy, management, and policy analysis. Tyson has also worked for state and federal forestry agencies, including in Oregon's Federal Forest Restoration Program - an early program focused on support for collaborative land management and the use of the Good Neighbor Authority. He is currently serving as the staff co-lead for the congressionally chartered Wildland Fire Mitigation and Management Commission. Tyson has a BA in geography and political science from the University of Oregon and an MF focused on forest policy from Oregon State University.
