Taunya E. Johnson-Oates

Taunya Johnson is one of the VITA Program Specialist with Community Action Agency's VITA Program in Montgomery County, Maryland which is a year around program. She is also a Certified Acceptance Agent who is authorized by the IRS to prepare Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) Applications.  She has been involved with the VITA program for over 40 years in the District of of Columbia and Maryland.  During the pandemic, Community Action Agency's VITA program was one of the few  sites who switched to a Virtual Program approved by the IRS to continue preparing tax returns as well as the Renter's Credit and the Homeowners Tax Credit applications for residents of Montgomery County, MD.
