Shari Blades

Shari Blades is the director at Caroline County Department of Social Services (CCDSS) in Denton, Maryland.  CCDSS is one of 24 local departments of Social Services within the larger governmental organizational structure of the State of Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS). Services provided by the agency include: Child Protective Services, Foster Care, Adoptions Services, Family Preservation Services, Adult Protective Services, Social Services To Adults, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid Assistance (MA), Energy Assistance Program and Child Support Program. A native of Caroline County, Shari graduated from Salisbury State University with a bachelor’s degree in social work and a master’s degree in social work from Delaware State College and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Having over 30 years of experience in social work, program development and evaluation in both the public and government sectors, Shari has an unwavering passion to help individuals, families and her community stronger through collaboration and strong community partnerships.
