About Rachel
Rachel is NACo’s legislative assistant for transportation and environment, energy and land use. She is responsible for analyzing legislation and regulatory activities, as well as administrative duties within our transportation and environment, energy and land use portfolios. Prior to joining NACo, Rachel interned for the Office of Senator Robert P. Casey, Jr. (D-Penn.) with his natural resources team, congressional campaigns and various nonprofit organizations. Additionally, she worked as a research assistant at Penn State's Political Science Department, studying the impacts of gender on political survival in democratic countries. Rachel received her undergraduate degrees in history and political science and her master of public policy degree (MPP) with a concentration in nutrition and agriculture policy from the Pennsylvania State University.
