Padma Kasthurirangan

Padma heads NACo's new Clean Energy Initiative. She is tasked with engaging members on their current clean energy related experiences and challenges to create tools and resources that will help. A NABCEP certified Solar PV Installation Professional with a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University at Buffalo (SUNY) and a B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Anna University, India, Padma is a subject matter expert in clean energy.

Padma comes to NACo with over 14 years of project development, installation experience in the distributed wind and solar PV industries in New York. A national leader in renewable energy project permitting, she serves on the board of Distributed Wind Energy Association (DWEA) and has worked with local governments in New York writing/revamping wind ordinances and is experienced at environmental compliance and interagency coordination for federal funded projects. 

She enjoys swimming, biking, hiking, climbing and skydiving.
