About
Nancy Gilbert is the Acting Networks Program Manager for Economic Development Administration (EDA)’s Office of Regional Affairs in Washington, DC. The Networks portfolio centers on collaborating with national partners to assist EDA grantees and stakeholders build strong connections, access targeted technical assistance, and engage in peer learning to identify, amplify and scale best practices that accelerate effective place-based economic development strategies and advance and inclusive, resilient regional economies. These initiatives include EDA’s Communities of Practice, Economic Recovery Corps and Equity Impact Investments programs. Before joining EDA in 2016, Nancy served as a program manager in SBA’s Office of Small Business Development Centers, and at HUD’s Office of Community Planning and Development, and as a consultant for federal and philanthropic community initiatives in California. She currently resides in Mongomery County, MD and holds a B.A. in Economics from UC Santa Barbara, and an MPA from San Francisco State University.
