Kornelia Kostka

As a location intelligence specialist, Kornelia channels her passion for economic development into innovative technology solutions for site selection. She leverages her research and analytics skills to provide decision-makers with the tools and insights needed for navigating the complex process of site selection.

A native of Poland, Kornelia considers South Carolina her second home. Kornelia moved to Charleston, South Carolina to attend school on a cross-country and track and field scholarship. Her interest in economic development was initially sparked while working one summer for the South Carolina Department of Commerce’s European Office in Munich, Germany.

Before joining GLS, Kornelia worked in the finance and logistics sectors, contributing to companies such as UPS, SnapCap (a subsidiary of Lending Tree), and Euroclear. Following her MBA, she joined the Greenville Area Development Corporation in South Carolina to lead the research efforts supporting business recruitment and retention. Now based in the Netherlands, Kornelia enjoys her role as a site selection connector between the European and US markets.

Kornelia holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from the College of Charleston and an international MBA from the University of South Carolina. She loves to stay active and enjoys running, hiking and cycling.
