Justin Schools

Justin joined Horry County Government's IT/GIS Department in 2005. Justin has been working in IT project management since 2008 and in 2013, he moved into the role of Enterprise Project Manager, overseeing pivotal projects for the county. 2019 marked a new chapter in Justin's career as he stepped into the role of Assistant CIO. In this capacity, he has not only continued to manage the county's IT projects but also played a crucial role in guiding key decisions alongside the CIO, county leaders, and stakeholders. His efforts have been instrumental in aligning the county's technological initiatives with its overarching goals, priorities, strategic direction, and mission.

He achieved a Masters in Public Administration from Clemson University in 2020, enhancing his understanding of public sector administration. He also earned a PMP certification in 2017, which has helped in managing complex IT projects.
