About Andy

Andy Hanks is a cybersecurity executive with over 28 years of experience in information technology, including 15 years focused on security, compliance, and privacy.  As Senior Director of Cybersecurity Advisory Services for the Center for Internet Security, Andy oversees a program to help cyber-underserved State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial governments, and election offices develop and enhance their security strategy.  Andy previously held positions as Chief Information Security Officer for the State of Montana and Global Security Program Manager for IBM.  Andy earned a Master of Science in information systems from Drexel University, holds multiple cybersecurity certifications, and is a graduate of the FBI CISO Academy.  Andy Hanks is a cybersecurity thought leader driven by a passion for protecting citizens’ data and defending our nation’s critical infrastructure.
