Ana Marie Lara

Ana Marie Lara joined the City & County of San Francisco’s Human Services Agency in 2010 and is currently the Community Engagement Manager.  Her team handles outreach, outstations, related contracts, and community partnerships for self-sufficiency programs, including CalFresh (aka SNAP).  Ana Marie leads local outreach campaigns often tied to legislative mandates, such as CalFresh Expansion to Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Recipients in 2019. She aims to reduce food insecurity in marginalized communities with the mobile office project.  Prior to her current role, Ana Marie worked as a social worker and management analyst with SFHSA and held several positions within the private and non-profit sectors.  During her spare time, she has her hands full with a toddler and 4 month old baby.
