Ajay Sarpeshkar holds a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Arizona and various leadership program certifications. Ajay is a forward-thinker with over 20 years of cross industry experience driving innovation and leading client-centric initiatives. Ajay has spent a majority of his professional career in public sector technology, aligning innovative solutions with business priorities.
At Harris County, Ajay has had the opportunity to work with various departments envisioning technology solutions, from Engineering to the Office of Management and Budget and now Universal Services. From building adaptive traffic control systems, asset management systems, visualization systems, to managing Houston’s ship channel security district’s surveillance technology network; Ajay’s current role as a lead for Harris County Universal Service’s Office of Innovation, brings all his experiences together in connecting the dots to develop innovative solutions using novel technologies.
With a solid background in technology, Ajay also recently led a startup to fruition with a successful product in the market. Having served on various committees and community panels, and skilled in fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration; Ajay brings a distinctive leadership with deep insights in strategy, creativity, and human behavior.
