Steve Oates

Steve Oates is a Principal in the Health Practice at Buck, with more than 30 years’ experience as an actuary and benefits consultant. He has a broad range of technical experience including evaluating the risks and opportunities presented by legislative changes and helping public plans recognize benefits cost savings (without benefit cuts) through alternative retiree medical delivery models, such as Medicare Advantage and Employer Group Waiver Plans ((EGWP). He is a frequent speaker at actuarial conferences on retiree health.
