Rebecca Thompson

Rebecca Thompson is the Director, Field Engagement & Taxpayer Opportunity Network, leading efforts to inform, connect, engage, strengthen, and grow the diverse array of stakeholders that make up Prosperity Now’s networks and the economic resilience and justice field at large – all with the goal of maximizing the reach, relevance and impact of Prosperity Now’s ideas and issues, and its ability to mobilize the field for positive change.

Prior to joining Prosperity Now, she led VITA coalitions in North Central and Northeast Florida, with growing responsibilities and oversight for a suite of financial stability work and asset building strategies, which included managing a coalition of tax sites that prepares over 20,000 tax returns in Northeast Florida annually. She was named as one of the inaugural members of the Taxpayer Opportunity Network Steering Committee in 2015.

Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from Florida A&M University.
