About Michelle Chapin
Michelle Chapin joined Ready for School, Ready for Life as a project manager in May 2017 supporting the implementation of the early literacy strategic plan and continuous quality improvement (CQI) work in partnership with Root Cause to form the first CQI cohort. Michelle’s role expanded to support the Guilford Parent Leaders in High Point and the implementation of the Early Childhood Workforce Strategic Plan. In her role, Michelle is responsible for supporting the Navigation system building work and managing and facilitating cross-functional teams while supporting community engagement and outreach strategies. She works closely with community partners, funders, and volunteers to maintain a full understanding of the current landscape of local and regional activities that intersect with the work of Ready/Ready.
Prior to joining Ready/Ready, Michelle had instrumental roles in system building and led cross-sector collaboration working in both the public and nonprofit sectors in Florida to support solutions for homelessness. She is passionate about the nonprofit sector and committed to serving the families and children of Guilford County.
Michelle graduated from Florida State University and then served as an International Ambassadorial Scholar for Rotary International in Sydney, Australia where she attended University of Technology, Sydney studying cross cultural communications. She and her husband Patrick live in Jamestown with their daughter. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys running and supporting her daughter’s love of horseback riding.
