Kim Scales

Ms. Scales is a senior manager at Deloitte Consulting, LLP for the Government and Public Sector (GPS) practice. She is a thought leader in workforce transformation and a future of work enthusiast, helping her clients envision how to create sustainable environments and how to prepare leaders and employees to be adaptable and resilient in the face of change. Ms. Scales regularly advises senior executives and organizational leaders in states, local governments, and higher education institutions on how modern ways of working can improve engagement and productivity, specifically through the implementation of hybrid work models that rearchitect working norms and reimagine the workplace environment. As a future of work champion, she works with leaders to design and implement post-COVID sustainable workplace ecosystems and has supported multiple publications that convey insightful perspectives on the future of government and the public sector's journey towards new ways of working. Prior to her 10 years serving clients at Deloitte, Ms. Scales was a federal employee for 12 years with leadership positions overseeing human capital strategy in both the civil sector and the U.S. Intelligence community. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Engineering from Vanderbilt University, and currently resides in Stafford, VA.
