About Kevin Boozel
County Commissioner Kevin Boozel currently resides in Slippery Rock with his wife of 29 years, Renee. They have two sons serving in the Armed Forces: Staff Sgt. Zachary Boozel, Sgt. Colton Boozel.
Kevin completed his Master of Science degree at Geneva College for Organizational Leadership to complement his graduate studies in Community Counseling at Slippery Rock University and his undergraduate work at Indiana University and Butler Community College for Elementary Education. Kevin volunteers for the Harrisville Volunteer Fire Company as an active certified Firefighter/EMT.
Commissioner Boozel is currently serving on several boards, some of which include: Commissioners’ Council on Drug and Alcohol, Tri-County Workforce Investment, Mental Health/Early Intervention/Intellectual Disabilities, the Southwest Pennsylvania Commission, Critical Incident Stress Management, Butler Emergency Relief Initiative, Local/State Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster, PA Geospatial Board and the County Adult Probation and Parole Advisory Committee within the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency. In 2021 he served as President of the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania and now sits on the CCAP Board of Directors as well as Chairman of the CCAP EMS Task Force.
Kevin continues to find satisfaction/challenges in his current role by ensuring the success of current projects and by taking on new projects that are community driven. His strong desire to provide the best services to the residents while drawing on his unique leadership experience is the driving force that keeps his interest peaked and dedication strong.
