About Jason Jackson

Jason Jackson is the Programs Coordinator for the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office in Greenville, NC. Jason is tasked with the development, implementation, and oversight of specialized programs within the Pitt County Detention Center (PCDC). Jason holds several licensures in substance abuse/mental health counseling and forensic counseling. Jason also works as an adjunct instructor in the field of criminal justice. Jason earned his master’s degree in Criminal Justice Admin from Boston University, his undergrad in criminal justice/psychology. Recently, Jason was recognized by the NC Jail Administrators’ Association and presented with the award of “Jail Innovations of the Year” for 2021 based the implementation of several new jail-based programs that include substance use treatment, mental health treatment, and education. Jason also sits on the board of the Pitt County Coalition on Substance Use and named the Vice President of the Pitt County Reentry Council.
