About Jamie Hackbarth
Jamie serves at the Economic Development Representative for Utah for the Economic Development Administration – U.S. Department of Commerce. She is the primary contact for Utah stakeholders interested in pursuing EDA funding opportunities. Her goal is to provide technical assistance and transparency to potential grantees throughout the application process to result in regionally-defined, equitable and sustainable development. Jamie assisted several Utah entities access American Rescue Plan Act and CARES Act funds for transformational projects over the past two years, with over $35 million of EDA grant funding active throughout the state of Utah. Previously, Jamie worked for the Colorado Governor's Office of Economic Development and International Trade, and also served in the Peace Corps in rural Peru which elevated her expertise in developing and managing a variety of rural development programs.
