About Hon. Lori Stegmann
Commissioner Lori Stegmann has represented District 4 in Multnomah County since 2017. Prior to serving as commissioner, she served six years on the Gresham City Council. Commissioner Stegmann grew up in the district that she represents after being adopted as an infant from an orphanage in South Korea. She put herself through college, attended Mt. Hood Community College and earned her bachelor's degree in business from Portland State University. She has been a small business owner in that same neighborhood for over 30 years and continues to advocate for immigrants, refugees, and marginalized community members.
She has been a champion for underserved communities in her East County district and has a track record of working on policies to improve housing stability, economic mobility and development, as well as public safety. She serves on multiple boards and committees and is a member of NACo’s Economic Mobility Leadership Network as well as NACo’s County Officials Advancing Racial Equity in Justice Network.
