About Ed Fox
Ed Fox is the Director of Project Safe Point, located in Albany County, New York, which provides services to the Capital District and the 12 counties surrounding the Capital Region. He has worked in harm reduction for a decade, including groundbreaking work with the Law Assisted Diversion Program in Albany and as syringe exchange coordinator. He has extensive training experience in harm reduction and has delivered hundreds of Naloxone, Harm Reduction and Safer Injection Practice trainings. He was one of the original architects in the design of the Health Hub and Peer Navigation Programs with Project Safe Point and engages and partners with law enforcement, healthcare, education and rehabilitation institutions to better serve individuals with substance abuse disorders. He has a bachelors degree from University College Cork, Ireland, and is certified in trauma-informed care and sociology and is in the process of becoming a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate and Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor.
