Dr. Gina Nikkel

Dr. Gina Nikkel was named the Executive Director of the Association of Oregon Counties in March of 2020, as the 5th executive director and the first female to serve in the role. In this position, Dr. Nikkel works to lead the 36-member organization and advocate for the collective body at the state and national level, as well as grow the public’s understanding of county government. Prior to this role, Dr. Nikkel was serving as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation for Excellence in Mental Health Care since 2011. Dr. Nikkel is also a former county commissioner for Tillamook County, Oregon and a community mental health organization leader.
