David Moss

David Moss is the Director of Data Management and Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) in Maricopa County, Arizona. With the confidence and trust of Maricopa County’s leadership, his team has been recognized with either National Association of Counties awards, a Special Achievement in GIS award and one of the most impressively managed GIS architectures in the United States. As a forward-thinking leader, Mr. Moss's business operations and technology expertise has captured multi-million-dollar cost avoidances and optimized workforces while driving efficiencies. Mr. Moss has experience in various disciplines such as public works, law enforcement, health and human services, emergency management and land records involving GIS analysis and data management. Currently, his team is strategizing and incorporating cloud, artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to analyze massive sets of structured and unstructured data and imagery to address concerns with data accuracy, user access and develop a virtual data analysis assistant to help departments successfully deliver Maricopa County’s strategic plan to its residents.
