About David Allen
David Allen is Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer for PepsiCo Foods North America (PFNA), the $26 billion snack and convenient food business that includes Frito-Lay North America (FLNA) and Quaker Foods North America (QFNA). In his role, David leads PFNA’s ambitious sustainability agenda and the implementation of PepsiCo Positive (pep+), the company’s roadmap for operating within planetary boundaries and promoting positive change for the planet and people.
Since taking on the role in 2021, David has been at the helm of multiple pep+ and sustainability milestones for PFNA, including the transformation of Frito-Lay’s Modesto, Calif., site into a renowned showcase of zero- and near-zero emission technologies. Key news publications including Bloomberg Businessweek, The Dallas Morning News and The Wharton School’s Wharton Business Daily podcast have featured his perspective and thought leadership.
A 27-year veteran of PepsiCo, David’s career is deeply rooted in supply chain and operational experience. His engineering training – coupled with two decades in various field manufacturing and distribution roles across sites with varying scale and complexity – gives him the significant breadth of end-to-end value chain experience needed to implement pep+ across the PFNA sector and create positive impact.
