About Courtney Baltiyskyy
Courtney Baltiyskyy is a policy analyst with the YMCA of San Diego County’s Community Support Services. Working with teams across San Diego County, the Y’s social services work relentlessly with our community until all can thrive in each stage of life. Policy areas of focus include, increased quality child care, services to homeless youth, increased mental and behavioral health services, access to quality afterschool programs, and support for youth in foster care. Courtney has built a career on leveraging the intersection between public, private, and nonprofit agencies for community benefit through a collaborative spirit, innovative thinking, and evidence-based decision making. Prior to her current role in Advocacy Engagement, Courtney worked in nonprofit management for over ten years, supporting working families through youth development programming, including quality out-of-school-times initiatives. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Whittier College, and a Master’s in Public Administration from San Diego State University. She is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Ukraine, and loves spending time with her family at San Diego’s amazing parks and beaches.
