Christie Mahany

Christie Mahany is the Executive Director of the Erie County Land Bank in Erie, PA, a land bank with a geographic area covering 37 municipalities and 12 school districts. Prior to joining the land bank in 2019, Christie spent 15 years in the private real estate industry. That experience helped her see how and where land banks and their superpowers could fill the gaps in current housing systems. She and her land bank board have been working hard to address blight with both reactive and proactive programs, keeping community needs at the forefront of decisions. Christie holds a degree in Environmental Earth Science from SUNY College at Buffalo, and lives in Waterford, PA with her family, who are regularly trying to convince her that they need more dogs.
