Marc Chavez

Marc serves as the Director of Board Operations and Executive Services, where he plays a pivotal role as the liaison to the NACo Board of Directors and Executive Committee. In this capacity, Marc oversees a wide range of executive support functions for the CEO/Executive Director and senior leadership.

Before joining NACo, Marc gained over 15 years of valuable public sector experience, serving in key roles within Bernalillo County, New Mexico. His contributions included positions as an Administrative Advisor and Executive Administrator. Prior to this, Marc held various roles within the Office of the Mayor for the City of Albuquerque, where he applied his skills and expertise under the leadership of two different mayoral administrations. Marc is a proud graduate of the NACo High Performance Leadership Academy, which provided him with an opportunity to refine his leadership skills and gain valuable insights into effective governance.
