Steve Mange

About Steve Mange

Steven Mange serves as senior policy counsel and interim legislative counsel for North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein, where he develops and implements strategies to address the opioid epidemic, overdose, addiction and drug misuse. He played a lead role in developing the comprehensive opioid remediation strategy list built into the national opioid settlements, in drafting and negotiating the memorandum of agreement governing allocation and use of opioid settlement funds in North Carolina, in creating the North Carolina opioid settlement dashboard and in developing the More Powerful NC opioid awareness media campaign and website. He previously served as senior policy advisor to Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan, executive director of the Illinois Meth Project and consultant to the National Alliance on Model State Drug Laws. He has a bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a masters degree from the University of Chicago and a juris doctor degree from New York University School of Law.
