Pre Employment Background Checks
|
 |
Counties and other public agencies, large and small, face employment issues and liability long before a person is hired. Attracting and processing quality candidates has become a serious challenge and getting through the sometimes arduous recruiting, screening and hiring process can be difficult and frustrating for both the employer and the potential employee. One bad hire can cost your county millions of dollars and seriously damage employee morale. As part of the Cost Containment/Cost Recovery program bid through Dallas County, TX, NACo has partnered with Employee Relations, Inc. to offer Pre-Employment Background Investigations, Drug Screening, and an Employee Hotline.
Employee Relations, Inc. understands the issues public sector employers face today and has developed a web enabled proprietary system, which facilitates a seamless and expedited screening and hiring process.
Why do we need to do Pre-Employment Background Checks?
-
1 out of 3 Job Applications and 2 out of 3 Resumes contain inaccuracies that could affect the hiring decision.
-
Convicted economic criminals, as well as violent and sex offenders often attempt to hide, or fail to disclose, their pasts.
-
Background checks are the solution to avoid hiring the WRONG people!
Who is Employee Relations?
Employee Relations, Inc. has been serving as an important human resources support tool since 1988. Our mission is to support our clients’ need for a safe and productive workplace and to help prevent negligent hiring claims and damages. Our concept is simple: We are a national human resource support company dedicated to empowering public sector employers to make informed decisions about who to hire and who not to hire through pre-employment background checks and drug testing. Then, our Employee Hotline provides a venue for employees to voice concerns that they are uncomfortable addressing directly with management, enabling management to take action early on before PROBLEMS become DISASTERS.
