2025 NACo Legislative Conference

About the Conference
The NACo Legislative Conference brings together nearly 2,000 elected and appointed county officials to focus on federal policy issues that impact counties and our residents.
Attendees had the opportunity to engage in second-to-none policy sessions, interact with officials of the new Administration and meet with members of Congress. Read below for highlights from the conference and click here to explore NACo's upcoming events.

NACo Membership Series: First 100 Days, Week 6
NACo's First 100 Days membership series provides weekly updates and analysis on key federal developments impacting counties during the first 100 days of the Trump administration and the 119th Congress. At the Legislative Conference, we hosted this series live, offering an interactive and expanded discussion.

Conference Days
Friday
February 28 (Pre-Conference)
Friday's limited-capacity pre-conference events include a disaster response training and the NACo Technology Innovation Forum (formerly the CIO Forum).
Saturday
March 1
The first full day of the conference includes an orientation for first-time attendees, policy steering committee meetings, and affiliate and state association meetings and receptions.
Sunday
March 2
Sunday programming includes standing committee, caucus and task force meetings, as well as policy workshops. Sunday ends with a reception hosted by NACo's Large Urban County Caucus and Rural Action Caucus.
Monday
March 3
Regional caucus meetings take place Monday morning, followed by a general session. The afternoon features a Federal Agency Expo, where attendees can meet with over 60 different federal offices and agencies. Monday also includes the NACo Board of Directors meeting.
Tuesday
March 4
The final day of the conference begins with a general session, followed by the Capitol Hill Day of Action. The conference concludes with a closing reception at the Washington Hilton.
